What are the Download/Upload Speeds?
Because the service is based on a wireless 4G LTE connection, speeds vary based on network coverage, tower proximity, and network traffic. While we don’t guarantee speeds, we can check the different network parameters for your service address to estimate the service quality prior to you placing your order. What if the service does not work at my location?
If the Hot Spot modem does not connect or is slower than expected, this most likely means a lack of LTE coverage/reception at your location, or the cell tower is congested from high usage in your area. Regardless of the reason, our 14-Day No Risk Return Policy has you completely covered. Simply return your device for a 100% Refund.
How is this different from a Hot Spot plan from any of the major cell providers?
The major carriers only offer up to 100GB of data per month, after that is used the service will be throttled to much slower speeds, some plans even charge overages after the data limit is breached. Our service is not throttled nor do we charge overage fees.
Is this Internet service really unlimited?
For normal internet usage, YES! No more data caps! No more overages! All of our plans include unlimited high speed data for normal internet usage such as streaming music, movies, surfing, gaming and more! However, surfing/downloading illegal content as well as data abuse is prohibited. Data abusers are those who purposefully push limits or conduct known illegal activity like Bit Torrenting etc. If you consistently use over 800+GBs/mo, that is typically considered outside of normal internet usage and in some cases you could be asked to split your usage between two accounts. To put that into perspective the average Household in America uses approximately 200 GB/month, so just please utilize our devices with regular discretion so we can continue to provide our members with high speed wireless internet.
Why do I get a message on my modem stating I have reached 16.5GB of data and my speeds will be reduced if I exceed 22GB?
These are AT&T branded modems and as such they are set up for the AT&T 22GB plan. The modems have software built in with this automated message which will pop up at 16.5GB every month. Your sim is on an Unlimited plan so this doesn't throttle speeds. Unfortunately their is no way to turn the message off as it is built in to the modems firmware.
